SVKM’s NMIMS Hyderabad, part of NMIMS Deemed-to-be-University, one of India's leading educational institutions with a 40-year legacy of academic excellence, and The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry have signed an MoU to foster skill development and industry-institute collaboration. The main objective of the MoU is to promote entrepreneurship among students through progressive curriculum design, industrial visits, student internship, guest lectures, skill development and management development programs.
The MoU aims to provide the students with industrial exposure to meet the future requirements of the industry and achieve sustainable growth in an ever-changing market economy.
Dr. Tapan Kumar Panda, Director, NMIMS Hyderabad, said, “Industry-Institute collaboration provides a platform for both the students and faculty members to understand the industry expectations and required skill sets for students. It helps them identify the gaps and provides an opportunity to upgrade themselves as per the prevailing industry requirements. The collaboration will help connect with local industries and SMEs in Telangana through research, capacity building initiatives and case study development across industry verticals. NMIMS Hyderabad will work with FTCCI in developing short term programs in the emerging technology and capacity building initiatives.”
Mr. Ramakanth Inani, President, FTCCI said, “There is a need to empower our educational institutions and provide them industrial exposure to upgrade to the latest technologies. The partnership intensifies efforts to raise awareness of the working professionals on the future requirements of the industry by way of organizing various programs and capacity building initiatives. FTCCI shall work in tandem with NMIMS to advance research and knowledge and modernize its tools to create a skilled future-ready workforce.”
The partnership will further strengthen the institute’s network within the industry and provide the students exposure through internships and mentoring. It will also help the institute in implementing a progressive curriculum that aims for the holistic development of the student.
