During their visit, the delegation delivered guest lectures that provided valuable insights into pressing global issues:
- Papiya Majumdar addressed "Climate Change and Health in India," as part of the Issues in Environment course for Semester 5 BA Liberal Arts (Hons.) students discussed "Climate Change and Health in India" as part of the Issues in Environment and Citizenship and Migration courses, examining the complex intersections between environmental changes and public health.
- Charlie Dannreuther delivered a lecture titled "What Does the Right-Wing European Parliament Mean for the Future of the EU? Insights from Political Science" to second and third-year BA Liberal Arts (Hons.) students. He presented in his lecture addressing the political shifts in Europe, offering students a nuanced understanding of EU politics.
- Peter Doak presented on "Contested Memory at Historical Conflict Sites" to the same cohort of students engaging students with perspectives on urban sociology, historical conflict, and cultural memory.
The delegation was hosted by JDSOLA for a meeting with Dean and Faculty and for organising lectures. Dr. Achyut Vaze, Dean JDSOLA, Dr. Brijesh Tripathi, Program Chairperson, Liberal Arts, JDSOLA, Dr. Ravi Saxena, Dr. Ramya Dwivedi and Dr. Tanushree Mazumdar interacted with the delegation. The student exchange program ranging from short term exchange program for a month, summer school to a yearlong student exchange program were discussed. Moreover, there was active interest to collaborate on the pedagogic front eventually leading to the Faculty exchange program.
The visit aimed to foster academic exchange and collaborative opportunities between the institutions. covered a range of potential collaborations such as student exchange programs, summer schools, and future faculty exchange initiatives.
