Prof. Todor Radev is President of Varna University of Management, Bulgaria (VUM). He holds a PhD in Economics from the Bulgarian Academy of Science and an MSc in Political Economics from St. Petersburg University, Russia. He teaches and carries out research in the fields of comparative economics, tourism, and internationalisation of higher education. Prof. Radev has extensive experience as a manager and supervisor of numerous international projects implemented with the financial support of the EU and the World Bank. For ten years, he was a Chairman of the Board of Directors of Albena Resort encompassing over 40 hotels located at the Black Sea cost. He has also initiated and established a number of innovative start-ups in Bulgaria. His solid academic and business background has made him a strong proponent of the entrepreneurial university model that is at the heart of VUM’s governance philosophy and strategic development plan.
