Mr. Manoj Kumar took over the charge as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of EdCIL (India) Limited on 01.12.2019. EdCIL is a Mini-Ratna “Category-I” CPSE under Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, offering Project Management and Consultancy Services in the education and human resource sectors within India and overseas.

Mr. Kumar is a graduate in Electrical Engineering from MNIT Jaipur and MBA from FMS, Delhi University. He has been a member of Indian Engineering Services of ‘UPSC’ 1994 batch.

He has held senior positions in numerous Government organisations such as DMRC, Department of Telecom, etc and has expertise in corporate strategy, management, operations and project implementation.

Prior to taking over as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of EdCIL, Mr. Kumar served as Executive Director (Projects) in EdCIL and led major business verticals of the organisation.

Under his chairmanship, EdCIL introduced various new Ed-tech solutions during the COVID-19 period and has also been able to promote Indian higher education institutions for “Study in India” amongst foreign nationals through various strategic and marketing initiatives.  In spite of the impact of the pandemic, EdCIL continued its growth path by identifying new business opportunities to diversify and has significantly increased the turnover during his tenure.
