The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB)
Imran Rahman is serving his second term as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). He has been with ULAB since 2006, where he held the positions of Pro Vice Chancellor, Dean of Business and Professor of Finance. Before joining ULAB, Imran was a faculty member at the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka for twenty-two years. In 1994, he co-founded a merchant bank and led it for six years. One of the first professionally set up merchant banks of the country, EVRD was involved in issue management, private portfolio management, private placement, international brokerage, financial advisory, and equity research. EVRD was a local consultant for the ADB funded capital markets strengthening project. Imran is a director of the Foundation for Learning, Teaching and Research (fLTR), which aims to improve the capacity and quality of teaching and research in universities. He is Chair of the Board of Trustees of Teach for Bangladesh. He served as an independent director in two public limited finance companies. Imran studied at the Manchester Business School, University of Dhaka and the London School of Economics.
