  About NMIMS

 

NMIMS began as a small institute in 1981, initiated by the socially conscious Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) to meet the demand for management education in India. Starting with a two-year master’s program in management studies, 40 students, 4 faculty members, and 3162 books above Bhaidas Hall, Vile Parle, it has grown into a globally reputed Deemed-to-be University.

 

From its modest beginnings, NMIMS now spans a 5,50,000 sq. ft. campus in Vile Parle, Mumbai, and operates 17 specialized schools across multiple campuses. It houses over 17,000 students, 750 full-time faculty members, and boasts scholars with prestigious Fulbright and Humboldt International Scholarships.

NMIMS began as a small institute in 1981, initiated by the socially conscious Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) to meet the demand for management education in India. Starting with a two-year master’s program in management studies, 40 students, 4 faculty members, and 3162 books above Bhaidas Hall, Vile Parle, it has grown into a globally reputed Deemed-to-be University.

 

The Resource Centre has a diverse collection of more than 58,000+ books covering all aspects of business and management, including areas related to Economics, Behavioral Sciences, IT, Law, Engineering, etc. This also includes 80+ National and International periodicals and journals carefully archived with back-dated issues. A rich collection of online resources is the highlight of the resources centre.

 

It has 32 online databases, which offers a vast knowledge base for its members. The e-resources comprise of 30,00,000+ e-books, 1,00,000+ e-journals, and an enormous collection of data and reports.The Centre provides a dedicated digital library with 30 machines where students can access databases and A-V material. Along with this, the NMIMS Resource Centre is also equipped with a Bloomberg lab of 12 terminals for the use of researchers in the finance and marketing field. A dedicated section of the research methodology collection is available to the researchers to learn and engage in research activities. It conducts workshops, seminars, and conferences annually for library professionals and holds memberships with BMA and MANLIBNET.

  Call for papers

 

We invite librarians, faculty members, researchers, engineers, academicians, and students to contribute. Leaders and practitioners of Open Science from universities and research institutions, as well as representatives of national, international, or inter-governmental organizations dedicated to Open Science practices, are encouraged to participate.



  Paper submission guidelines

 

  • All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.
  • Research articles/papers are invited on the above mentioned themes for paper presentation.
  • Abstracts should be about 250-300 words with 5-6 keywords in Times New Roman with 12 points. The full paper should not exceed 2000-3000 words.
  • The title should be followed by the name of the author, designation, name of institution, and email ID.
  • All the submissions of abstracts and papers should be plagiarism free.
  • Selected papers will be published in an edited book with an ISBN number.
