International assignments for Teaching, Research and Consultancy and to explore possible Exchanges are a regular feature at NMIMS Deemed-to-be University. Study Tour Programmes are often held wherein students and faculty members from International Educational Institutions visit our campus. The International linkages of NMIMS have helped it in drawing upon the wisdom built up at the partner institutions of repute and in developing curriculum and working on new programmes.

NMIMS Deemed-to-be University is increasingly becoming global in its operations over a period of time. This momentum is going to grow. Our International Office handles all overseas operations of the University. The operations include

Functions of the Office

  1. Manage Student Exchange Programmes
    • Orientation of students of both outgoing and incoming
    • Providing language skills for both outgoing and incoming
    • Monitoring the performance of incoming students
    • Arrange industrial visits for incoming students in cooperation with the Dean of the concerned School.
    • Facilitating on all legal fronts including visa related issues.
    • Facilitate the residents of students.
    • Make them feel at home.
  2. Manage Faculty Exchange Programmes
    • Provide all assistance to respective Deans and all foreign faculty in regard to visa, completing other legal formalities required by foreign faculty who have been invited to teach at NMIMS Deemed-to-be University.
  3. Negotiations with foreign universities
  4. Target markets for sourcing students.
  5. Promote NMIMS programs and students in foreign markets.
  6. Participate in international exhibition and fairs to promote NMIMS Deemed-to-be University programs
Structure of the International Office
The office is headed by a Chairperson who is a senior faculty member assisted by executives. The International Committee of the University comprises of the Chairperson – International Affairs and a faculty member from each of the Schools who will coordinate international relations on behalf of their respective Schools.

Collaborative Research and Reciprocal Research Scholar’s Exchange Programme with Athens University of Economics & Business, Athens, Greece encompasses the following:

  • To promote collaborative research projects on areas of mutual interest for publishing in joint authorship.
  • To promote the exchange of faculty for joint teaching and research.
  • To promote the exchange of qualified doctoral students enrolled in their respective degree programmes, who will be admitted according to the regulations established within each school.
