NMIMS will celebrate its 9th University Day on 13th January, 2012 with a talk on Innovation-The Leadership Challenge by Dr. Gita Piramal, Chairman- DB Ergo Ltd. The event will be held at Bhaidas Maganlal Sabhagriha at 11 am.

A research Colloquium by NMIMS Faculty will also be held at 2.30 pm at Juhu Jagruti Hall.

The Best Summer Project Contest (BSPC 2010) was held on 9th October, 2010 at Y B Chavan Auditorium, Sachivalaya, Mumbai. Ms. Sayantani Chanda from NMiMS School of Business Management, Mumbai, emerged as the winner.

Her project was on ‘Establish the Retail Value Index & the Prepaid Retail Quality Spread Matrix for Idea Cellular Ltd. (Prepaid) in the Kolkata Circle & Understand the Retailer Brand Perception of Idea vis-à-vis Competition to Develop Steps for Premium Partnering,’ for Idea Cellular Ltd.

The runner-up was Ms. Kiran Wadhwa from N.L.Dalmia Institute Mgmt.Studies and Research, Mumbai.

BSPC is a prestigious annual management event organised by the Institute of Management Consultants of India (IMCI) Mumbai Chapter. It is also the most important event in the calendar of B-Schools in Mumbai, which is widely attended by MBA students, consultants and the industry alike.

The judges for this contest were Mr Shantanu Bhadkamkar, President–Maharashtra Chamber Of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture (MACCIA), Mr Sandip Biswas, Director–TMT Practice, Deloitte Consulting, Mr Ajay Kaushal, Co-Founder, Director BillDesk, Mr Rajesh Gopinathan, Head-Business Finance of TCS, and Mr Sunil Pathare, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Maxwell Industries Ltd.
