In order to meet the growing demand for management education, the Mandal, with the help of a handsome donation from Narsee Monjee Educational Trust, established Narsee Monjee Institute of Management and Higher Studies in 1981.

Over the past 25 years, NMIMS has grown into a flourishing University, canvassing 7 varied disciplines of academia and boasting of over 5000 students and faculty from across the world. The Institute once again renews its passion towards excellence and commitment to nurture decision makers and leaders who will take on the challenges of future generations.
